Profile:

Windsong Properties is an Atlanta-based active adult builder with communities in Cherokee and Paulding counties. Steve Romeyn and Mark Carruth are Windsong’s principles and are both certified professional homebuilders. Under their leadership, Windsong Properties has received numerous awards and honors.

In 2009, the National Association of Home Builders and AARP gave a “Special Recognition” to Windsong Properties’ Somerset community in Woodstock, Ga., as part of the 2009 Livable Communities Awards, which recognize “homes and apartments that reflect Universal Design values for comfort, safety, and accessibility for residents of all ages and physical abilities.” The builder was acknowledged for its efforts to maximize street appeal and to provide step-free entries for residents.

In 2010, the builder received numerous OBIE awards from the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association. Windsong Properties’ Somerset community was honored with a Gold OBIE for Community of the Year in the 50+ community category.

Since 2007, the builder has provided energy efficient, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency-approved homes that are not only beneficial for homeowners, but for the environment as well. To date, Windsong Properties has built 50 ENERGY STAR® homes in its Somerset community located in the equestrian district of Woodstock.

Windsong Properties is pleased to be a recipient of a 100 percent GuildQuality satisfaction rating for 2010.
